*Synopsis: On his way to school one day, young Jimmy Watson saves an old gypsy’s cat from the jaws of a bull terrier, tearing his shorts in the process. Suitably grateful, the gypsy repairs them with a piece cut from a magic carpet, henceforth giving Jimmy the ability to travel back in time just by thinking about it!

Ron Turner (1922-1998) started his career in the 1930s as a technical artist for Odhams Press. He painted many science fiction paperback covers and switched to Super Detective Library in the mid fifties notably Rick Random Space Detective and his own strip, Space Ace for Lone Star comic. His first fully painted colour strip was The Daleks for TV21 in the 1960s, then followed Thunderbirds, Stingray and Captain Scarlet. The 70s heralded his prolific work for Star Trek and Judge Dredd before Wonder Car for Whizzer And Chips. His artwork rarely appears at auction.
