Oor Wullie and his pal, Bob want to be evacuated like the other kids (Specky Joe an' Mac write they’re havin' a grand time awa) so they hatch a plan: 'I ken whit we'll dae, Bob - we'll evacuate oorsel's!’ They get a lift from the tartan army and find a hoose where they make the fire, prepare brekka and shine the farmer's boots. He wants to send them back hame but the lads do such a good job the farmer puts them to work makin' hay (while the sun shines!). In the last panel there are two happy boys on buckets!

Aunt Aggy and Granny make Dan and his warring nephew, Danny behave and go to the photographer for their New Year's greeting card photies. Somewhere between fight and polite they half destroy the studio and fall down the elevator shaft (After you - No, After you .. [crash]). When the photo arrives it shows their scowling head and shoulders but thankfully Aunt Aggy and Granny could not see the fisticuffs that went on below!
