Biography: James (Jimmy) Clark was born in 1895 and worked as a staff artist for D C Thomson and John Leng for over forty years. He drew the Willie Waddle books; Jimmy And His Grockle for The Dandy; Tricky Dicky Ant and Little Noah's Ark for the Beano and Tiny Tim for The Topper. In 1949 he revived Pansy Potter - The Strongman's Daughter to become Pansy Potter In Wonderland and claim The Beano's back cover for over four years. This was his finest work. He died in 1977 aged eighty-two.
